Koloursundays — Bangkok's First Sunday Sunset Party!

Groovin’ and chillin’ as day turns to night.

Like many who had received the artsy personalized invitations over a month ago, I was expecting the launch party of koloursundays to be something wonderful — and it was in every way. For the first-ever sunset party in this city, organisers AFTR PRTY delivered an unparalleled experience. Indeed party-goers could wear their stunner shades to a party that actually required sun protection.

A long list of groovy, funky, sexy and fun international DJs played at koloursundays with one live performance by Miss Jolanda in collaboration with DJ jMuss. The awesome combo of live vocals and turntables was followed by Jack Malipan’s set which really took things to the next level! He has been playing since the 90s and simply knows his stuff when it comes to house music.

It was still early when DJ co2an got on the decks, so he took the energy down a bit since the party people were almost ready to jump into the river!

After dancing I found a sweet spot in front of Viva & Aviv to cool down. I realized I was hogging the fan all to myself when Natalie Glebova came over and commented on how hot it was. We talked about Bangkok and how long we’d been living in our adopted home. ‘It makes you not want to leave,’ she said. A handsome bystander thought we were referring to the fan, but we didn’t bother correcting him because that was true too.

There will always be a clear distinction between day and night for koloursundays events. Daytime is all about the groove and chilling to great atmosphere and awesome food with the music volume at a comfortable level so people can socialize and take in the sun. When day turns to night, you can expect the mood to be cranked to an all-out throw-your-hands-up party!
